Hello, and welcome to my sanctuary – my Thoughts and Prayers! A place where overthinking meets overfeeling.
Here, pop songs are sacred texts, indie horror games are emotional gauntlets, and nothing is just entertainment.
This blog was born out of a lifelong obsession with music and video games, and the aching need to say something about them.
Whether it’s a throwaway lyric in a forgotten B-side or a cursed glitch in a broken game, if it moves me, confuses me, devastates me, or makes me want to scream into the void… it ends up here. And rest assured I’ll have paragraphs to say about it.
About me
My name is Ash, I’m a 23 year old proud Leo, and as you may have already guessed – I have a special gift *cough* neurodivergence *cough* of seeing layers in popular media that tend to evade the typical eye.
My favorite genre of music, and one I find very underappreciated in terms of just how much emotion and meaning it can convey is pop, but I enjoy a lot of other, high-energy music too.
Since I was a little child, you’d find me dancing and singing along to songs of my favorite artists and begging my mom to buy me their CDs.
In fact, one of my earliest childhood memories is blasting Britney Spears albums while playing GTA: San Andreas on my brother’s PC. And perhaps this is the single best way to describe the kind of person I’ve always been.
